Our house has white vinyl siding and large brown drips have formed on the north side. Anyone know what it is?

It doesnt appear to be mold and it looks like its dripping from the roof or soffits, but it also seems to drip from some of the seams in the siding. It is easy enough to clean off but it always returns very quickly. If anyone has any idea what it could be that would be awesome.

the problem is its older siding and its faded quite a bit. its way darker behind the laps. My question is “when you re-set the siding will all the pieces of siding that used to be lapped be seen now and if so will the insurance company just re-rap the house?

I have 1.5 year old siding on house, western part gets full sun exposure, & is a little wavy- there are no gaps, & the siding is secure. I have that foam board underneath that was installed on house when it was built- 10yrs ago. Other sides look fine, but shaded by other houses, trees, etc. Is this common for vinyl to wave?

In this neighborhood we always get mold, green buildup, on the North side of the houses. I saw on an episode of This Old House they placed a metal strip on a roof to prevent moss buildup. Would this work on vinyl siding?

We are putting in a daylight basement, which sticks five feet above ground and then placing a modular home on it. The home has horizontal, james hardie fiber cement siding on it, heron gray in color. I am looking for something that will make the home look more aesthetically pleasing and break up the height a little. Productive ideas are welcome!

How do you remove ivy growing up the side of your house on your metal siding?

The ivy, when pulled from our house will leave a small residue of where the feet or roots adhered to the siding. We are going to cut the ivy toward the ground in a few weeks once a frost sets in. Once the ivy is cut, the ivy that is on the siding will die out but we don’t think will just fall off of the house. How can we remove it easily and remove the stains it has caused on our siding?
