What color shutters would look best with white vinyl siding house with a black roof?

I currently have black shutters and I’m looking to make a change.

Can Vinyl Siding be put on the bottom part of a gambrel roof?

How do I replace the highest vinyl siding under the roof (^)?

I know how to replace vinyl siding, but there is a small piece under the (^) shaped roof and I don’t know where to nail it.
