How do you install vinyl siding corner posts if the corner is higher than 1 post?

The corner posts come in 10 foot lengths. My corners are 14 feet. When you install just 1 piece your supposed to leave a 1/4″ gap at the top. How do you do it if you hav 2 peices? just put them together? or is there a special way?

When you come to a corner on a house and the next side has a permanent deck 4 inches higher than you have been running, how do you trim out the siding?
