Also, I’m pouring this slab inside a dirt-floor barn, that already has a concrete foundation around the sides. Can I pour the new concrete right butt-up to the old concrete foundation? or do I need to use some kind of spacers? If so what kind? wooden? how big? I plan on using the fiber-based mix so i don’t need re bar.
Ok, so i’ll be sure to put down atleast 6″ of gravel 1st, and put “expansion joints” around all the corners, between where the two concretes will meet. Should I also run an expansion joint down the middle? This isn’t for a car, this is just a floor in a utility room in a barn

I am preparing to do an eagle scout project, where I am pouring four 16ft by 10ft bleacher pads and one 18f by 5 ft sidewalk and sadly I could not find a cement for dummies. The side walk will be driven over with a large truck filled with dirt because the place that im doing it for want to resurface their baseball field. Money is too big of a problem either. So finally, my questions are: How deep should each for these be? Do any require dirt/sand under? Fiber mesh or wire for any? and basically any other advice you might think would be helpful for me. Thanks!

Will Titebond II (weatherproof) work? I have a 1928 home and am trying to duplicate one of the original exterior window sills to go on a new window. I need to glue a couple of 5/4 pieces together to get the right thickness and I want it to last. The originals have redwood but it’s old growth I believe and more stable than what I can find now in redwood or DF. Correct me if I’m wrong there. Plus I have only two attaching points to work with on either side of the window so I chose the fiber cement product for it’s stability. Nothing on James Hardie’s site says what can be used to glue it with though.

Thanks

Thanks
