Does anyone know anything about vinyl siding?

We are planning on having vinyl siding put on our house. Is white cheaper then colored. Is one brand better? What is the
best money wise. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

Anyone know anything about log siding?

A friend of mine is attepting to build a house. He wants it to be a log cabin style home. I was told that they now make some vinyl siding that gives the appearance of a log home. Anybody out there know anything about this type of siding?
