I am building a house….it has log siding and red shingles..What color sofit should I use??

I want my sofit to either match my red shingles or my cedar siding..I need some ideas of what would look best..

I think that I would go with a brown to match your siding. The red shingles will be more prominent then.
I would use a Cedar color sofit to match the color of your siding. Otherwise, use the same color of your doorframes and windowframes if they are a different color from your Cedar siding.
My log cabin has forest green trim with barnred doors…but my roof blends with the logs….I agree that contrast is nice BUT the monochromatic lookis popular these days. I believe that behr.com has a way to see what different color combos look like at their site.
Either match it to your window frames, or to your eave metal on the roof.
Personal Preferrence is I would try to match the log siding.
