shoot them all
bear traps? maybe electric fencing?
Shoot them with a gun or a similar bullety apparatus.
go live some place else
scare the crap out of them. throw firecrackers bang on things that make a lot of noise, but
be careful you don’t get eaten.
This may sound gross, but usually human urine will keep most animals away. Every once in awhile, go pee outside. They also sell sprays but most just walk right through it.
Put some food out for the critters…they are hungry…
Call your state department of natural resources (local office). They will be better equipped to help you solve this problem. Good luck!
……………..wow,where do you live,it’s cool….
Try putting out some thing that smells very human. Like soap or lysol. It works with other animals to keep them out of gardens and trash.
THe more perfumy smell the better.
maybe you need a pet that scares bears. i have no idea what bears are afraid of….search it. mouse problem ? get a cat. mosiquito problem ? get a spider tattoo.
Stop Rubbing Honey and Salmon Paste all over the siding of your house before you go to bed.
Hang some meat across the street… Get some bear repellent and spray it on your house. (they have some of that!) Or maybe try one of those animal sound repellent things. Here are some places to buy them.

I don’t have a tried and true solution, but I can’t help commenting that this has got to be the most unusual problem I’ve ever read about on here.
I’m trying to think about what I would try and all I can think of is, I’d go to a salvage yard and get a used 18-wheeler air horn and mount it outside right above where they scratch, then run a cord into the house from the horn, link in a switch and plug it into a 12-v power supply like those portable jumper cable batteries.
I’d hit the button on that thing and shake them to their bones every time they do it. It’s probably the same ones each time. I doubt if it would take very many times before they start finding it to be not worth the trouble.

Are fences allowed in your community? If so fence in your property. Bears like any kind of food that is sweet and sour. They have a great sense of smell and KNOW what is behind a wall, so naturally they try to get it. Also try and use plastic wrap on left overs and do not leave any windows open.
I live in the Adirondacks and bears are in abundance here! Anyway, They are smelling something that makes them attracted to your house. Or it might be the same bear and he has gotten food from your house before and keeps going back for more. The fact is it or they are hungry, Either it has been too dry or there is some reason they can’t find the food they normally eat. The Department of EnvironmentallyConservation will suppley rubber bulltets to help get them to leave(here anyway).

maybe put one of those shock fences that are often used for dogs, just with a higher voltage…or a really high wall surrounding ur house….! sorry, i dont know much about bears!
Bears hate dogs, get yourself a barking dog. It’s what we use.
Bears smell bad, a dog can smell him before he reaches your house. The bark will scare him away.
