The fill tube should be inserted up until it reaches the top of the stud cavity. In this example the home was balloon construction and we did nt want cellulose to rise and fill the second story sidewall because additional electrical wires needed to be run down from the attic on the second floor. The second floor walls will be dense packed by drilling holes from the inside, as this unit is being remodeled.
gotta love drill and fills!!?
I wish you could have narrated this. Thanks for making it, though. Why don’t you start at the top? The machine that the local Menards rents out does not have? a long tube…did you buy this tube and attach it?
Yes? – go to startinsulating web site
I use an old tee-shirt on the end of my hose, go through the neck, and it seals it off good, avoiding spillage/leakage. Do? you have a message board on line anywhere, for Insulation guys to talk/share and trade ideas?
ok I? will thanks
No, these walls were hollow. ? But check out the video titled “Dense pack exterior walls with cellulose at our web site. That one had fiberglass batts in it. Join the discussion forum to get feedback from many insulation pros!
Hey, I need to do something similar to this.
Was there existing? insulation in the wall cavities before you did this? Im assuming there was because it seems to be an older home.
thanks
Guy looks a? little rediculous with that carpenter’s belt on with all the pouches.
