Harvester RD-501 six cylinder gas engine while the crane is powered by an International Harvester U-501 six cylinder gas engine. On this Saturday, we see the crane being moved into position, tested out and used to lift some sheet metal siding from storage on to a waiting flatbed in some pretty tight quarters. Alas, the videographer also had to help with the load out so this video doesn’t contain all the action of the day. There will be more to come soon, but we hope you enjoy …
LOL! To bad I live so far away I would love to come out and help !:D
Believe me. It drives me crazy too and we plan to repaint the crane within the next year.
Buy some stop rust. Rust drives me crazy!
Thank you. We would welcome you to visit. We volunteer on Tuesdays all day and into the evening and all day on Saturdays. The museum is open for public operations on Sundays through the end of October.
I enjoy these videos one of these days I will have to come out.I have to admit though the way the crane engine sounds on the video it sounds like a diesel.
